Strawberry Prince (すとぷり) leader Nanamori (ななもり。) and member Satomi (さとみ) have graduated from the group, effective October 18, 2026. Both announced the news through long written statements on their personal X accounts on the evening of October 18, followed by an official notice from the group and its management company STPR Inc. (株式会社STPR).
At 8:15 PM JST that same night, all six members appeared together on the official Strawberry Prince YouTube channel (すとぷりちゃんねる) in a livestream titled "すとぷりから今後の活動について大事なお知らせがあります。" (Strawberry Prince has an important announcement about our future activities.). The six talked through the decision and each member spoke directly to listeners.

Strawberry Prince Carries On With Four Members
Graduation date: October 18, 2026
Strawberry Prince continues as a four-member group: Colon (ころん), Jel (ジェル), Rinu (莉犬) and Root (るぅと).
Nanamori remains a director (取締役) of STPR Inc. and will support the company behind the scenes.
Satomi will keep streaming, posting videos and performing live as a solo artist, but he will no longer appear on stage as a member of Strawberry Prince.
Already-announced collaborations and six-member merchandise will go ahead and stay on sale as planned. Updates will be posted on the official website.
No farewell concert has been announced. Satomi wrote: "I'm truly sorry that I can't say a proper goodbye in front of everyone."
STPR said the decision came after "the strong wishes of the two to move on to a new path," and that members and staff "held many discussions" before choosing to "respect their resolve and send them off." The company apologised for the sudden announcement and asked fans to keep supporting "Strawberry Prince and all six." It also asked that inquiries go through the contact page on its official website, and that fans do not contact the creators directly via DMs, replies or stream comments.
Nanamori Thanks Listeners: "All of It Is My Precious Treasure"
Nanamori founded Strawberry Prince in 2016 and led it as both a member and its producer. On the stream, he said that watching the members build the 10th anniversary arena tour with their own hands, carry it through to the end, and seeing listeners answer with everything they had made him realise again that "Strawberry Prince really is an amazing group." He said he had kept these feelings to himself for a long time because he didn't want to cause trouble for the group, the members or the listeners. After the tour, he felt "this really is the only timing" and went to the members to talk.
His written statement made the same point: "This is something I decided of my own will." He apologised for making the announcement in the group's 10th anniversary year.
On his future, Nanamori said that the things he has worked on and the challenges he has taken up are still ongoing. "First, I want to get my freedom back, and get to a point where I can tell everyone more about what I actually want to do," he said.
To listeners (すとぷりすなー), he wrote:
"Thank you for finding Strawberry Prince in this vast internet, for coming to love us. All your support, your kind words, the times we laughed together, all of it is my precious treasure. I'm graduating, but the 10 years I spent with all of you won't disappear. I'll treasure the dreams we made come true and the views we saw together for the rest of my life. Please keep supporting Strawberry Prince from here on."
And to the remaining members:
"Strawberry Prince has become a far bigger and stronger group than I ever imagined. I'm sure the four of you, together with all the listeners, will show us sights I can't even imagine."
On the stream, he summed it up: "I'll be looking forward to it as the number one fan too."
Satomi Looks Back on 10 Years, From a 100-Person Live to the Kohaku Stage

Satomi, the group's Pink Prince, explained that since returning from his hiatus last year, he had kept asking himself whether his current level of involvement was right, "with the members supporting the group's activities day to day." Running through the 10-year milestone gave him confidence, he said, but also made him want to "test my own strength more as an individual" and to "always stay true to myself in front of the people who say they love me."
"All sorts of feelings piled up, I thought about it again and again, and the answer I finally came to was graduation."
He confirmed that his streams, videos and live activities as Satomi will continue as before. He also hinted at new challenges that will start with "taking time to learn," and said he wants to take them on one at a time.
His message to listeners looked back on how far they had come together:
"From a live show that started with 100 people, to our first dome where the empty seats frustrated us, to a sold-out dome, to the Kohaku stage. I got to see views I could never have seen alone, with this group."
"For me, live shows were a place where I could talk with everyone just through our eyes, even without words. I'll never forget every single glance we exchanged on the 10th anniversary tour."
He closed his statement: "To myself on the day I left behind everything I had studied and all my dreams to jump into this world, I can say from the bottom of my heart, 'That choice wasn't wrong at all.' Those were my 10 years... I'll be cheering for Strawberry Prince from here on, too. This was Satomi of Strawberry Prince."
Colon, Jel, Rinu and Root Send Off Nanamori and Satomi

Colon, Jel, Rinu and Root all admitted the news was hard to take in, but each said they wanted to respect a decision the two had thought over for years. One by one, they put into words what Nanamori and Satomi have meant to them.
Jel (ジェル) said he couldn't hide his loneliness, but stressed: "It's a path the two of them thought long and hard about, so I want to properly respect that choice, and I want to keep supporting their futures." He looked back on 10 years of banter and advice from both, and promised that the four of them would move forward with those memories and protect the fun that makes Strawberry Prince what it is.
Rinu (莉犬) thanked Satomi as the person who "changed my whole life as an online creator," and Nanamori for finding him when he was still a high school student and giving him a place to belong. "Graduating doesn't make the memories and bonds we built disappear," he said, and he asked the two to "stay healthy and go all out on what you want to do."
Root (るぅと) remembered being invited into the group by Nanamori and the many times Nanamori listened to his problems. "Thank you so much for creating a wonderful place, wonderful friends and wonderful time," he said. He admitted he was sad to see the two leave, but promised to cherish everything the group has built so that "our history doesn't become as if it never happened," and to "give everything, body and soul, so that we can keep bringing smiles to listeners as a group of four."
Colon (ころん) called the two "friends who got through the hard times and the fun times with me for 10 years," and said he grew a lot thanks to Satomi's influence. "I'm sad, but I'm really glad we made it to the 10th anniversary together," he said. Whatever path the two take, he added, "our history and our bonds won't change," and he will be cheering for them from the bottom of his heart.
Laughter and "Thank You" Fill the Stream

Even with such heavy news, the six worked to keep the mood bright. Near the start of the stream, Nanamori and Jel said they "didn't want this to be a dark talk" and admitted that "getting the energy right is hard." The members teased one another, brought up old stream moments, and joked their way through a pretend bouquet hand-off as they took turns thanking each other.
All six repeatedly thanked listeners for the 10 years. They remembered how lost they had been at the start, and how far they got from there, all the way to dome concerts and the NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen. They also said they were surprised and grateful to see their fanbase grow from fellow high schoolers and people around 20 to elementary and junior high school students and adults.
The members apologised for worrying listeners with the sudden news, and stressed that "the memories and everything we've built will never disappear." The stream ended with the four renewing their pledge to protect the Strawberry Prince name and its place. The members also said they would share more of their own thoughts on their individual channels afterwards.
Looking Back on Strawberry Prince's 10 Years
The graduation follows a period in which both members had already stepped back from the group's front line.
Nanamori stopped performing in group streams, music and videos after Strawberry Prince's Saitama Super Arena concert on January 12, 2025, to focus on producing and running STPR. He served as the company's president until June 2026.
Satomi paused his group activities in July 2025 to focus on his second full album "S's" and his solo concert at Yokohama Arena. He returned to the group on November 23, 2025, with fewer appearances on official streams, while still taking part in original songs and live shows. At that time, he revealed that graduation had already crossed his mind.
Strawberry Prince began in 2016 with song covers (歌ってみた) and gaming videos. It grew into one of Japan's biggest 2.5-dimensional idol groups and performed at the NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen (NHK紅白歌合戦) in 2023. The group celebrated its 10th anniversary on June 4, 2026. Its 10th anniversary arena tour, "Strawberry Memory Vol.10th anniversary ~Strawberry Prince ARENA TOUR~" (すとろべりーめもりー Vol.10th anniversary ~すとぷり ARENA TOUR~), drew about 150,000 people across 13 shows in four cities and finished at Yoyogi National Gymnasium on August 20, 2026.
