Moon-viewing season at KFC Japan just got a serious egg upgrade. Starting Wednesday, August 26, the chain is rolling out its full Tsuro-ri Tsukimi lineup nationwide for a limited time, and this year the whole thing is built around one theme: leaning even harder into that gooey, overflowing egg experience the series is known for.
The returning classics are all here: the Tsuro-ri Tsukimi Fillet Burger, the Tsuro-ri Tsukimi Twister, and the mochi and custard Tsukimi Pie. But the real headline is two new additions built around a Japanese style katsu burger. The Tsuro-ri Tsukimi Wafu Katsu Burger Kobore Tartar packs an egg style omelet with 1.5 times more tartar sauce than last year, layered over a Japanese chicken katsu coated in KFC's secret sauce. And for anyone who thinks one egg layer just isn't enough, the Triple version, Tsuro-ri Triple Tsukimi Wafu Katsu Burger Kobore Tartar, stacks three fluffy fried egg style omelets on top of each other. It was only available at seven stores last year and blew up on social media, so this time it's going nationwide.

The Tsukimi Pie isn't sitting this one out either. Its custard filling got a 20 percent boost this year and now uses Madagascar vanilla beans for extra aroma alongside the classic rich egg flavor, wrapped in a flaky pastry shell with a chewy mochi center.

All prices include tax. The full lineup launches Wednesday, August 26, at KFC locations nationwide for a limited time while supplies last, though some stores may not carry every item and delivery pricing may differ slightly from in-store prices.
To bring the whole campaign to life, KFC Japan named T.M.Revolution's Takanori Nishikawa, a well known egg enthusiast in the entertainment world, as the series' ambassador under the tongue in cheek title "T.M.G. Revolution." He stars in a new concept video where he belts out a drawn out "toro~ri" while holding up the Tsukimi Fillet Burger under a full moon, closing with the line "this year, eggs are going wild." A separate new TV commercial features actress Shiori Sato biting straight into an overflowing burger, tartar sauce and all, in a spot fittingly called "Eggs Gone Wild."

KFC Japan is also running a follow and repost giveaway on X (X @KFC_jp) to celebrate the launch, handing out digital KFC gift cards worth 1,000 yen across three separate rounds. Entrants just need to follow the official account, repost the campaign post, and check their result instantly through a reply video.
The first round runs from 12:00 on August 19 through 23:59 on August 25, with 100 winners. The second round runs from 00:00 on August 26 through 23:59 on September 1, with 300 winners, the biggest of the three. The third and final round runs from 10:00 on September 2 through 23:59 on September 8, with another 100 winners up for grabs.

Between the egg heavy new burgers, the returning triple stack, and Nishikawa's over the top ambassador debut, this year's Tsukimi season looks like KFC Japan's most indulgent yet.
