HONG KONG — During Consensus Hong Kong 2026, Abelian and PQA Labs, in collaboration with the FinTech Association of Hong Kong (FTAHK), hosted Quantum Lounge: Blockchain + FinTech, an invite-only networking evening that convened founders, builders, institutional leaders, investors, and operators from across blockchain, fintech, and digital assets.
Curated as a focused platform for cross-sector dialogue, Quantum Lounge brought together blockchain innovators, fintech executives, researchers, and ecosystem partners to examine what quantum-ready infrastructure must look like in practical, near-term implementation, beyond narrative and speculation.
Held in Central during Consensus week, the event delivered high-quality, candid exchanges driven by concise speaker framing remarks and leader discussions. Guests included senior representatives from exchanges, institutional finance, research institutions, regulatory bodies, Web3 innovation labs, and venture capital firms. Conversations were dynamic and solution-oriented, covering post-quantum resilience and cryptographic transition pathways, privacy-preserving financial infrastructure, deployment challenges for quantum-resistant systems, interoperability across blockchain and fintech environments, and regulatory alignment and institutional readiness.
Event Highlights

Excellent turnout and engagement:
A carefully curated cross-section of participants enabled meaningful, sustained dialogue in an intimate setting designed for depth rather than scale.
Cross-sector collaboration:
Participants explored tangible pathways to translate post-quantum research into production-ready systems and identified partnership opportunities to accelerate adoption.
Focused thought leadership:
Concise speaker insights catalysed breakout discussions on privacy engineering, interoperability standards, and regulatory considerations for quantum-secure infrastructure.
“Consensus week gathers the ecosystem’s brightest minds, and Quantum Lounge offered a forum for deeper exchange away from the conference floor,” said Dr. Duncan Wong, Co-founder of Abelian. “The conversations demonstrated that quantum-resilient infrastructure is no longer theoretical, it is becoming an industry priority.”
“Quantum Lounge serves as a vital platform for examining the implications of quantum technologies on our financial systems,” said Dr. Daniel Ebler, Co-Chair of the Quantum & Cybersecurity Committee at the FinTech Association of Hong Kong. “As we assess the potential disruptions to cryptography and cybersecurity, it is increasingly clear that the need for quantum-resilient strategies has become an urgent priority for our industry.”
Community building:
Attendees initiated follow-up meetings and new working relationships, reinforcing Consensus week as a catalyst for cross-regional and cross-sector collaboration.
Looking Ahead
Abelian extends its sincere thanks to our partners, speakers, and community members for their support in making the event a success. As the digital asset industry prepares for the next era of security and scalability, we remain committed to advancing post-quantum blockchain infrastructure and collaborating with ecosystem partners to strengthen the foundations of decentralized finance.
