Apple has rolled out iOS 26 Beta 4 to developers, introducing refinements to its Liquid Glass design, enhanced Apple Intelligence features, and updates to core apps. Released two weeks after Beta 3, this update signals Apple’s continued efforts to polish the operating system ahead of its public beta launch, expected on or around July 23, 2025, and a full release in September alongside new iPhone models.
The fourth developer beta, build number 23A5297i, focuses on improving the user experience with tweaks to the controversial Liquid Glass interface, a neumorphic design overhaul introduced at WWDC 2025. This design, characterized by translucent, glass-like elements, has been a focal point of debate among testers. Beta 3 had scaled back transparency in apps like Apple Music and the App Store for better legibility, but Beta 4 reintroduces a more pronounced Liquid Glass effect in toolbars and navigation bars, with a dynamic tint added to the Notification Center for improved readability as users scroll.
