 Apple's newest AI features experienced a temporary service disruption today, affecting thousands of users before being swiftly restored. The outage impacted key Apple Intelligence capabilities including Image Playground and Visual Intelligence on both iPhones and macOS Tahoe systems.

In a post at 4:55 PM PST on June 19, Aaron shared screenshots revealing error messages such as “Downloading support for Image Playground…” and “Apple Intelligence support for ChatGPT is still downloading. Please try again later.” A follow-up post confirmed the issue extends to macOS Tahoe, suggesting a broader service disruption.

Reports began surfacing that the features were functioning again three hours later. Aaron confirmed the restoration with a simple update: "Apple Intelligence is back up and running,".

Apple has yet to release an official statement regarding the outage.
